I have been using CMS Intellicad for maybe 6 years.=20 It is relatively inexpensive compared to Autocad at $4k or so. The CMS=20 version 7.1 (current) is a big improvement. I have the "PRO" version=20 which has raster image (JPG, GIF, BMP, etc.) and 3D capability. A common=20 usage is screen grab or scan a chip pinout, paste into drawing, and then=20 build your schematic, or paste a phot, and add labels, drawing, etc. It=20 has the ability to read/write many Autocad DWG/DWF file versions=20 including many of the older formats. This beats Autocad ability by a=20 lot. Here's CMS link: http://intellicadms.com/site/ There are free trials, try it. If you are proficient with Autocad, you=20 will come out of the box at speed. There used to be some free versions=20 out there, but a brief search, nothing stood out. Try searching more. --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
