I used something called intellicad a few years ago. It worked with autocad =
relase 14 files at least. It was a free download then, but they may be char=
ging now.

Finally moved up to win7, but my CAD package that ran under DOS (its that o=
ld) will not run under Win7 or the virtualXP window (it does run under winX=
P.  I like it (designCAD) because I've used it for so long that it takes me=
 only minutes to draw something up.  I have the windows version but its not=
 as easy to use.

So I attempted to install XP on the new laptop (HP G7-1260) after resizing =
the volume to give a 100G partition for it, and then running the XP install=
 it crashes before it gets to the actual installation part.

So my options are:=20

1. wipe the drive and install XP...then install Win7 2. Keep my old machine=
 for the CAD program 3. Find a new free and easy to use CAD program.  I nee=
d to be able to import/export DXF from it. =20
