Hi Jack, That kit comes with one populated board and two blank boards. There is no RJ-11 connector, nor is there a place for it. It has a 0.1" header to mate with a PicKit 2 or 3. The 16F886 supports in-circuit debugging so you don't need an ICD header, but you will need an adapter cable if you use an ICD instead of a PicKit.
