This is a 2004 paper but gives possibly the best introduction to
bidirectional IIC isolated interfaces I've seen. It starts with a 1998
NatSemi low speed optically coupled interface and develops the speed
through 5 stages to a dual 3.3V, 400 kHz (maybe) design. Probably as
worthwhile for seeing the progression as for the final circuit. No doubt
somebody here will have a faster/cheaper/better circuit :-) - lets see it.
