Although to be fair, "wire" is frequently depressingly costly, especially i= f you step outside of "standardish" lengths and gauges. (and a 30 foot pow= er cable is pretty much outside of any common practice.) For that kind of length your cheapest choices are going to be telco wiring,= cat5, and AC extension cords... (AC is probably the best technical soluti= on. Higher voltage and lower current, available in a variety of colors.
