There are USB type A connectors that can be soldered and have molded
rubber covers that slide over them to close.

Externally they are almost identical to molded ones, look very professional=
..

I'm pretty sure that type B connectors of that type should exist.

Simply pick a two-conductor cable of a suitable gauge and make your own
custom USB power cable.
