I see this kind of stuff all the time in the local paper (not perpetual
motion, but a misunderstanding of the difference between power and
energy). Each time they do it, I send them a letter to the editor pointing
out the problem and suggesting they have a high school physics student
review the articles for accuracy. I guess such a student would cost too
much since they continue to publish stuff that does not make sense.
