Actually, Isaac, I think that is lousy advice at this point.

He's trying to something, anything working - period.  Why would you=20
want him to take a whole complete detour trying to get the linker=20
working as well?

In other words, Keep It Simple.

I think that your advice is much better given AFTER he's gotten past=20
the initial learning curve.

My opinion, anyway.
