few years ago I ordered pickit2 clone from them (because there was a shortage at microchip at the moment), which also was not working, pic firmware was missing, as far as I remember, which I could find out only when a real pickit2 arrived. Since I remember paying about 3= 0 euros for the PK2, i didn't want to spend 60 for the PK3, so i went buyin= g the clone version by SURE electronics. I connected to my virtualbox's win= dows XP VM, installed the driver, but the microchip PK3 app refuses to star= t if the clone is connected. if that isn't enough, if i start the app then = connect the clone, all the 3 lights remain swithced on, the device isn't re= cognized by the system. Has anyone experience this problem? Could this happ= en because the clone hasn't got for example a "valid microchip device id" o= r something????? > > PS: same story with a parallel tools virtual machine. > > PPS: if you was wondering, > my laptop is a macbook pro and i needed the pickit 3 because as far as i = know pic24fv32ka301 isn't supported by pickit2 > > Jacopo Monegato > > -- > http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive > View/change your membership options at > http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist > --=20 KPL --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
