I have been attempting to restore the first computer I ever owned, an S100= =20 bus based NorthStar Horizon I built from a kit in the late 1970's. It has=20 been a challenge, largely due to old tantalum caps shorting and sometimes=20 catching fire and a nearly complete lack of documentation for the various=20 hacks I performed on it. At this point I have the CPU card, serial ports, video card, a couple of=20 memory cards and an eprom card (including 2708 (!) EPROM burner) running.=20 Unfortunately it appears that my very nice parallel keyboard is dead. For=20 now, I am running PROCOMM on an old DOS PC to emulate a dumb terminal=20 connected to the old machine instead of the video display and keyboard. I am looking for a converter to convert from a PS2 keyboard to a parallel=20 ascii output with strobe. Although I am sure I could cobble something up, I= =20 am sure that I have seen a PIC-based implementation of this sort of thing=20 somewhere. Any pointers?
