The software doesn't have =20 to be all that good, since the chips are so very simple. Of course the chip is only available from this (new?) company, and =20 that implies a certain degree of risk. I would say that outweighs =20 whether it costs a few hundred dollars more or less to develop a =20 product, which is usually down in the noise along with courier costs and so on.
