Herbert,

there have been several posts lately about SDHC performance and
SPI. Basically it is very slow and not suitable for a high-end analyser.
Perhaps with RAM buffering

For one application I'm even considering two microSD in parallel if
I stick with dsPIC SPI (>10MHz)

As you say, 50MHz might be the maximum clock speed, but it certainly
isn't a reliable indicator of overall write speed
