That's about how I did it too, except I didn't guess right the first =20 time; I "guessed" incorrectly that the "16" in the first line might =20 mean it was a 16k rather than 128k part, and looked at one of those =20 first. The description of the part markings was really close, so I =20 knew I was on the right track, and I tried a 128k part next (you SAID =20 it should be a a 25128...) I wouldn't normally have guessed the "5DB L" indicated the part =20 number, but the ATML was a pretty solid pointer to Atmel. =20 Fortunately, Atmel did have part marking info in their datasheets!
