My experience has been that paste behaves just like it's new pretty much=20 up to the 6 month mark. I can't vouch for SMQ90 - I'll find out in=20 about 6 months I guess... But my experience is that afterwards, it slowly gets worse and worse. I=20 know I've used expired paste up to year without a lot of difference. =20 But I also had some 3 year old paste in the fridge which just wasn't the=20 same at all.... Some people report dumping the tube (sealed up) in an ultrasonic cleaner=20 full of water will rejuvenate a bad tube. If I was on the receiving end of this deal and was looking at this, I'd=20 probably get a tube, tell me not to bother with the cold packs - just=20 ship it priority mail (2-3 days), insulated as well as I can reasonably=20 do (aka wrapped in foam sheets), and hope for the best. -forrest On 9/21/2011 2:31 AM, William "Chops" Westfield wrote: > On Sep 20, 2011, at 7:00 PM, Forrest W Christian wrote: > >> 6 month refrigerated shelf life > How does it handle beyond its documented shelf life? > I'd love a tube or two, but the likelyhood that I'd use even one tube > within 6 months is pretty low. > > BillW > --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
