Oops, Adding [EE]... I'm starting to enjoy surface mount - has lots of advantages. Well,=20 except for ease of using a test clip or similar to diagnose an onboard=20 problem. For instance, this morning I'm trying to troubleshoot a SPI=20 issue, and need to connect my Saelae Logic to the SPI pins either on the=20 pic or on the SPI flash. The PIC is a 64 pin TQFP, which just isn't gonna happen, at least with=20 anything I have. The micro grabbers I have seem to be able to grab onto the SPI flash=20 pins, but with the pitch, the two grabbers are getting in each other's=20 way and putting strain on the very lightweight grabber portions. There seems to be a few solutions. For instance=20 http://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data%20Sheets/TPI%20PDFs/SMT%20Test%20Clips.pd= f=20 , but these are 10 dollars each, or more if you buy the specialized=20 leads which go with them.... Just curious what grabbers/test clips are other people using for surface=20 mount? -forrest --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
