If somebody who knows what she is doing is already there or almost there and can make $1k with publishing what she has, it's a win-win-win situation.=20 Compare that to hiring really cheap programmers -- who, going back to the thoughts in some other parts of this thread, possibly don't know what they are doing --, where it's not really clear who would win much if anything.
