That makes no sense. Those are not remotely similar cores.

18F is less than ideal for C and must use "strange" C compilers. This is=20
why Assembler and JAL are better on 10F, 12F, 16F and 18F than C

PIC32 is MIPS core and  uses "different technology" C compiler. Many C=20
compilers possible, inc probably GCC
