3.3V parts don't work with TI's TPIC6*595 power shift registers=20
without level shifters.  The TPIC parts are 5V only devices with=20
Schmitt Trigger control inputs and 3.3V is well below minimum logic=20
HI level.  This is seriously unfortunate.

There are many other 5V-only interface devices out there but this is=20
the one that affects me greatly.  So: 5V PICs in those designs.
