Interestingly, I just soldered the magnetics module back in place, and=20
it works perfectly.   And yes, its on in the same orientation.

I HATE these issues....

I'm going to assume a hidden bridge or similar or a bad solder joint, or=20
something....  but I know these are the ones which come back to bite you=20
in the rear down the road.
