A friend is trying to download an application to a Sony Ericcson Vivazz phone from an XP Home PC and is getting a report re a missing DLL =3D MAPI.DLL I'm aware of most of the issues surrounding such reports (missing, unregistered, wrong version, logs too big, indirectly related errors, overwritten, ...) My question is regarding getting another copy. Most sites found by searching wish you to load a registry cleaner/fixer/updater/trasher/ ... Site www.dll-files.com provides a DLL copy plus much good advice. They SEEM to be genuine, competent, free and useful. Can anyone advise of any experience with or knowledge of them? DLL provided is 73,810 bytes and dated 4 Feb 2005. Said to work for XP and more. Site www.fastdllfixes.com also provides a DLL copy plus advice but feels somewhat suspect. DLL provided is 25,568 bytes, dated 1 October 2010 Content is in no way comparable with the above DLL. Can anyone advise of any experience with or knowledge of them? _________ First site says DLL location is: C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7). It's not present on any of my XP systems. If anyone has it on their systems, what size/date and could a copy be made available. Newest daate best. XP system best. --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
