Not really, since the electric cars could become PART of the grid,
imagine a grid with significant storage capabilities? No longer would
generation have to match load, you could run your generation at more
steady levels and let the millions of connected electric cars store the
excess and supply when there isn't enough generation. It would be pretty
cool.
