Yes, though the devices I want to sell are probably not on the USML list
(see
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Traffic_in_Arms_Regulations>).
I don't have any way to certify compliance, and the penalties if you screw
up (even if by accident) just aren't worth the risk.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with export limitations, however,
here's an example of a statement from the Company Digi International (it
just came up in a google search- I've no association with Digi):

"All Digi employees must prevent transactions with persons and
organizations involved in and with embargoed countries, and with persons
and companies denied export privileges. Failure to comply with U.S. and
global export laws may result in personal and corporate criminal or civil
penalties and prevent Digi from shipping internationally."

So, to be in strict compliance with US law, you not only need to not ship
to the embargoed countries (like North Korea), but you also cannot ship to
someone who has been denied export privileges.  I'm willing to take the
risk that someone I ship to in the US has not been denied those export
privileges. Life is all about managing risks, and not shipping outside the
US is one way I have chosen to manage this risk.

Most companies can afford to subscribe to the database searches that show
you've made a reasonable effort at compliance.
