Solutions for DOS, OS/2, UNIX, NT, VMS etc etc before Apple ever had=20
Timemachine.

NT/AKA Windows has had "AT" and ntbackup since 1993
cron on Unix/Linux (was doing scheduled backups on Cromix in 1986)

Many solutions of incremental scheduled backup..
