I licensed a 6800 Basic from Microsoft back when it was a partnership.
This went in to the DRC190 system (see

). It had line numbers, so we wrote a "precompiler" that allowed for long
variable names, named subroutines and no line numbers. It output a file
that could be downloaded into the DRC190 where it ran as interpreted
basic.
