> From what I could see the Microchip encryption software does *not* includ= e > XTEA. Just T-DES and AES-128 >=20 OK, I looked in my copy of the Encryption Library (v2.6, downloaded Dec. 20= 10) and it has XTEA under the 'AN0953 Data Encryption routines for the PIC1= 8' zip folder, but not under the 'AN1044 Routines for the PIC24/dsPic' zip = folder. As an aside, in your original post, you mentioned the PIC24E devices, does = this mean you have actually tried one, or just mentioned it because of the = potential speed? I ask as I am looking at getting some of these chips, but = at the moment the Errata & Clarification document for them contains some al= arming errata.=20 The same errata seem to affect a number of 16 bit chips. One would have tho= ught they would get the VHDL peripheral modules sorted on discovering the e= rrors instead of bringing out yet more chips with the same errors. Some of = the errors do seem to imply that someone was half asleep doing their job as= they don't seem to be obscure errors or occur under obscure conditions. --=20 Scanned by iCritical. --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
