I was thrilled as a kid ( 1960s ) by the idea that such a drive existed and=
 I would be able to go to Mars.  When the Dean Drive did not pan out and NA=
SA failed to deliver men to Mars , I was thrown into a depression I have ne=
ver recovered from.  I expected something gigundous would occur along the l=
ines of the science fiction I was reading.  There would be space cadets and=
 villains and I would be one of them.
