Thank you for your offer, I looked at the postage rates from Ireland to=20 South Africa -http://www.anpost.ie/AnPost/PostalRates/Standard+Post.htm. Standard rates for a Packet of 250g is Euro3.5 [okay] and parcel is=20 Euro 22 - which is out. I don't know how a parcel and packet gets defined. Further searches revealed http://www.pollin.de have a set of 10 tuners at Euro4.95 + (international postage). The catch is that there is no=20 circuit diagrams or paypal. http://www.mtmscientific.com/tuner.html has a couple of projects (with DS for tuner) , for $19.50. This includes a RF Spectrum analyzer which is an option for the other recent thread {EE] Build a spectrum analyzer}. Before your offer I made a bid on a local auction site for a TV tuner=20 card in the hope of landing a FM1216. I did not, but the TNF9535 tuner internals reveal a SN761672A IC from TI ( has datasheet and samples). This is an older device - SN761677A tuner card is on Youtube, but I=20 managed to find the TNF9535 datasheet on the web as well. The datasheet is sufficient to use the device, the tuner has a video demodulator and CVBS can be tapped out to test OTA TV. I will have to tap the IF past the SAW filter, but there is enough info it available to get going. > The pinouts are fairly standard. Then there is digital tuners for DTV. --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
