I got no reply to this. Except Tim P kindly offered me the use of his "company's" facilities for a one off, but I'd like to be able to do repeatedly long term. Immediate requirement has passed, but ongoing solution sought. Surely somebody is happily providing friends and relatives with photo DVDs / CDs that can run with a std DVD player/TV combination? To recap- Movie maker is fast and effective but doesn't work. Ashampoo slideshow D Studio 2 works but for larger numbers of photos hell freezes ove during the time taken to make the DVD (days) and it may well crash out along the way with no excuse given. How hard can it be :-) ? JPG photos in (plus MPG a bonus). vCD vDVD whatever slideshow out.
