For those interested in where Olin has been spending his time lately, he's very active at the electronics stack exchange site (think Stack Overflow or Quora but dedicated to electronics): http://electronics.stackexchange.com/users/4512/olin-lathrop Very good answers as per usual. The nature of the site may make it a better medium for him to express his expertise, while the wiki editing features allow others to help moderate his tone on the rare occasion that his posts are found to be offensive. In the last month that he's been posting there he has quickly risen in the ranks, indicating that the community has strongly accepted his expertise as valuable and his answers as useful. I don't hang around there enough to know if there have been any run-ins (kerfluffles are tidied up pretty quickly due to the active use of moderation and the flagging system) but I do hope he finds a good home there. I get too addicted to such sites, and can waste hours and hours answering questions and participating. Lots of good info, though, if you just like learning new or interesting things. -Adam On Mon, Jun 27, 2011 at 2:01 PM, YES NOPE9 wrote: > Okay don't read this posting if you hate 99puppetgus or OLIN. > > > There could be a separate list that interacted with the PIClist through s= ophisticated PC filters and minority feel good filters and all that good st= uff ..... > The OLIN list would be for people who appreciate the brilliance of OLIN (= and his ilk ) , the great technical contributions and don't go crying to m= ama when they are called an "insanely stupid moron". > Some may call this trolling =A0 .....
