Here in the US, Dremel sells an EZ lock mandrel with various 40mm diameter disks. One is a fiber reinforced cutoff wheel. I tried it and it is more tolerant of side-force than the 25mm wheels. Dremel also has the EZ544 wood cutting disk; 1-1/2 inch diameter designed to cut wood up to 1/2" thick. I expect it would work quite nicely on aluminum cans, particularly if you had a guide to ensure the tools was moving in a straight line.
