Is there some document somewhere that explains what the PIC part numbers
mean? For instance, I'm currently using a PIC32MX460F512L, which has 32kB
of RAM. I'd like to figure out what part would be most compatible but with
more RAM. I'm sure each digit of the part number tells us something about
the device, but have not found an explanation of the numbering system.

Does anyone know how the numbers are derived?
