Hi VG,

     Do you have an XSCargo nearby?

     They have 2 things that may be of interest, a powersupply  that =20
provides 12v @ 5A, meant to power things automotive, and a DC-DC =20
converter, 12v to various voltages between 1.5V to 12V. I believe the =20
first is under $10, and the second less than $5.

     Not exactly what you were asking for, but still may be useful, =20
useable.
