Hello, Michael, WHAT are you doing with the coffee cans? I'm just curious, never heard of that. What material are those coffee cans wehn you talk about soldering? Beverage cans usually are made from aluminium if I know correct, so soldering may be "difficult". I cut coffee cans to make sheets to solder little screened boxes for electronics. A stanley or other similar heavy duty craft knife cuts a can easily. I don'= t know if the distortion is too much. But if a tin-opener removed the lid you could have a grooved/slotted wooden form go inside can and set it in a wooden jig and quickly cut can with knife accurately without distortion. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membershi= p options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
