The Pick&Place machine is in house, and the first production boards are=20 coming off of it, Hurray! Unfortunately, due to the switch to surface mount for most products, I'm=20 apparently now in the market for a prototype PCB house, since the=20 barebones PCBs with no mask or legend just aren't going to cut it=20 anymore - the solder mask makes a *huge* difference on a SMD board. So=20 I need to find a reasonable-cost board house which can do mask at least=20 on the top side. Although I am familiar with PCBgeek and other similar inexpensive 10-ish=20 day turn services, this doesn't really work well when trying to get a=20 design done within a reasonable amount of time, especially when=20 considering shipping on both sides (and that 10 days=3Dtwo full weeks). =20 So far, The houses which do have 3 or 5 day turns seem to be mostly=20 really expensive. So far, the least expensive (and reasonably=20 tolerable) option I've found for 5 days or less is PCBFabExpress. =20 Advanced circuit's 33each special (4 boards for a total of $132+S&H)=20 also isn't bad for a 5 day turn. Any others I should consider? -forrest --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
