That's what I would expect. The debugger should update all changed
registers after every single-step. It should also update the registers
if I force a refresh.

The problem is that it doesn't. I change the signal on the input pin
(RC1) and single-step any number of times, but the PORTC register
doesn't update until I single-step over the RB1 =3D RC1 line.
