I would suggest starting with a replacement range hood filter. I don't know=
 how they come in the US & Canada, but here in the UK I bought a generic on=
e from my local whitegoods fix-it store and cut it to suit our range hood. =
It would filter out far finer stuff than an ordinary sponge pre-filter that=
 is normally used on fans.
