I guess they could be, for example when applying the contact force only
after inserting, through a locking turn. However that's then probably
not cheap, so I guess it's the old "pick your favorite two of three" :)

OTOH, the typical insertion force of a mains plug doesn't seem to be
excessive for use with a power tool.=20
