Yes, that sounds like you have it right.
It says the leads are 0.5mm, so anything a little larger than that=20
should do. 1mm actually sounds a little large for such thin leads, but=20
I'd go with the recommended footprint. Definitely don't use larger holes.
Whatever hole size, under normal circumstances make the pad at least=20
0.6mm larger (=3D>0.3mm annular ring) so pretty much any board house can=20
make it cheap. 1.7mm is fine for the pad.
