Lots of people feel insulted at any correction.

I need to get my message across. I don't drown people in thousand-word
replies. I edit what I write before I send it.

I have gobs of tolerance for newbies and engineering.

If someone wants to whine about Microchip's new sample policy, at least
that has some relevance to the Piclist.

But I object to taking a nice sentiment about fruit and the sharing of
knowledge and using it as an excuse to start a serial whinefest about
taxes.

That kind of behavior is insulting the whole Piclist.
