My father taught me to drive. He grew up in NYC and for some reason (I was good in school, too boring) expected me to grow up and drive trucks/heavy machinery. So he taught me all sorts of useful things like parking in a space barely big enough for a car (I learned in his car), driving backwards using just the side mirrors, how to curse like an Iron Worker (my dad was an Iron Worker). Oddly enough, I wasn't allowed to curse, go figure. Anyway, I find all of this discussion very interesting but there is one lesson that new students are no taught (and I don't know how to teach it so don't ask) and that is how to predict the behavior of other drivers. It's something I use every day (I'm a long distance cyclist, it keeps me from getting killed by much of the stupidity that folks use as common sense). --=20 Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
