Quoting YES NOPE9 : > ... I notice that maybe 10% of the drivers are really nuts. Then =20 > there is another 10% who are extremely congenial and will let you =20 > have space to change lanes and wave and seem to enjoy the process. > ... Depends on where you're at. I've lived in a number of different =20 places and can clearly see a difference between how people drive. =20 Here in South Florida, people are very rude. I'd say 99% of the time =20 when I put on a turn signal to change lanes, the driver in the other =20 lane will rush up to ensure I can't get in front of them. And a cop =20 recently did this to me too. Another fear of mine is the traffic-signal cameras that have started =20 popping up everywhere. I stopped at one recently (harder than normal =20 stop, but not like an emergency) and a huge truck behind me could not =20 stop -- he tried, then floored it and went around me, and hit the kerb =20 on the other side of the intersection. It's only a matter of time =20 before I get rear-ended due to this. I'd be willing to bet that the =20 yellow lights don't allow proper time for some heavy but legal-weight =20 and legally-maintained vehicles to stop in time.
