Here in the UK on the other hand you just hop into your car, get someone with a driving license and drive on your own risk (and all others' on the road...). For me it is absolutely weird and against all my logic as first o= f all the person teaching you does not know how to teach obviously, not necessary up-to-date with all the rules applied on the road, maybe does not know how to spot hazardous situations, and most importantly has no brea= k pedal to stop the car if there is an emergency. In Ireland it was even worse (however, as far as I know now they have changed the rules). So over there you could drive your car without a 2nd person supervising you. So you pass the theory, and then get into the car with a provisioning licence and hope the best not crashing it or hit someone... ridiculous!
