Hi Joe,

My first thought was it might be a synchronous motor as it's used in a time=
piece=20
(deos it say 1500RPM on the faceplate instead of the usual 1425-1475?), in =
which=20
case it might be cap run instead of cap start, without a centrifugal starti=
ng switch.=20
Faulty cap may cause it to run hotter than normal and trip the automatic ov=
erload=20
protection device/circuit?
