Are you dead-set on a PC based scope? I looked into getting one earlier in the year and decided that the Rigol DS1052E as a stand alone digital scope was better for my needs (which I think are a lot like yours) at a better price. It comes with PC based software (via USB) which gives you capabilities to use it with your PC, but can also work standalone. The scop= e seems to get pretty good ratings across the web. I got it from aidetech_us on e-bay. There are several sellers of this unit out there (e-bay and otherwise). The deal worked out well for me. I have no other experience with that seller and am not formally endorsing him, just describing how it worked for me. He is sort-of US based, but ships directly from Hong-Kong or China or some such place. He includes free-shipping to US and Canada (and probably other places). He had a best-offer deal available. He wanted $400, I offered $380, we settled at $390 with an extra set of probes.=20 -----Original Message----- From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu] On Behalf Of Hasan A. After a bit searching I liked this PicoScope 3204A. http://www.pc-oscilloscopes.com/pc_oscilloscopes.html I was wondering if there are cheaper alternatives with similar specs. My=20 main use is semi professional where I do an occasional smallish=20 commercial project rest is hobby work. I don't anticipate using higher=20 than 20MHz clock pic controllers. I don't do RF or any PICs bigger than=20 PIC18F4520. The 3204A gives me plenty of room to grow too. Any suggestion is appreciated. -Hasan --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
