Looking for opinion on best tags for material like this: > What I am seeking to know is if how to connect my serial > communicating device (microcontroller based) to the internet via a PC Oriiginal query quoted in full at end. The musings below are not intended as agonising over this post in its own right, but the sort of questions relevant to getting an ongoing feel of what ends up where . This started as OT Certainly too 'good' for OT. Properly retagged by Olin He chose TECH. I think this sort of material would be better in [EE]. But ... ? Thoughts? Ramblings: Hard to be sure of a "best home" for anything like this. Certainly list relevant. Should not be OT as it is clearly re technical aspects. TECH is intended for "big picture" stuff - can't be built at home. EE is for electrical stuff you can do yourself. Pure software (Windows, O/S level compilers, etc) has no clear home and almost may be best in OT This is very clearly related tp PIC and embedded systems etc. Not totally irrelevant to PIC but not pur enough for inclusion there. EE feels best. ?
