The point brought up by the OP doesn't seem to have been addressed - he=20
stated that he couldn't understand (paraphrased by me) that the datasheet=20
seemd to be at best contradictory and at worst lacking in explanation at=20
all about what could and couldn't be done with the various modes.

Perhaps I'm in some Twiglet zone and missed some one addressing that=20
concern.
