I compressed my "line art" pictures wit= h PNG and GIF (I really hate GIF), and both times, it was slightly over 40k (about 60-80k). Yes, I could make it black and white, but I would be losing a lot of information, like layer colours and so on. It shouldn't take this much time and effort to display an image.
