Canada is messy too, quoting from: http://www.mysteriesofcanada.com/Canada/time_zones_in_canada.htm "Saskatchewan looks kind of civilized. But looks can be deceiving. Saskatchewan is mostly in the Central Time Zone, along with Manitoba and north western Ontario. However, Saskatchewan does not observe a time change (back or forward by one hour in the fall and spring) except in the city of Lloydminster which observes Daylight Saving Time but is also in the Mountain Time Zone." The tzdata package in Linux is approximately 5.8Mb, and that is compiled binary data! Of course, it contains a history of all timezone changes that have occurred, so it could probably be pared down to contain the current data only. But I think it would still be a lot of data. Once again, Blame Canada (Sir Sanford Fleming specifically). --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
