I'm currently doing this with a 16F, but just for testing on an =20 existing prototype PCB that does not have provision for a crystal. It =20 works for my purpose for now (logic analyzer says I'm getting 9613 =20 baud), but I had figured if I needed to, I could adjust the =20 oscillator, though there would still be variations due to temperature =20 changes. See AN244 here on how to use OSCTUNE... =20 http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/AppNotes/00244a.pdf Cheers, -Neil. Quoting Steven Ramon : > > I am planning to use a PC18F2455 for RS232.
