I have now found a PIC that will do the job. It's the  PIC18F2431/4431=20
family. It offers up to 14 bit PWM resolution, easily  achieving 10 bit=20
resolution at the frequencies I require.=20

It is specifically designed for motor control, offering dead-time control =
=20
and other useful motor control features. Thought I'd mention it as may  be=
=20
of use to others.
